We have been serving this sandwich for as long as I can remember, and pretty much anyone who has tried this sandwich loves it. It's a pretty straight forward recipe, the main thing to remember is you have to start with the best brisket, prime brisket, the kind of brisket that we sell here at Schatzies.

Things you will need
Large roasting pan
Tinfoil Large
serving platter or plate

Ingredients
5-8lb. Prime Brisket
1 16 oz. can Tomato sauce
1 16oz. of BBQ sauce
2-3 sweet vidalia onions
Your favorite wine, red or white
Your favorite bread for making sandwiches

Directions

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Take the prime brisket and put it into a roasting pan. Apply Richie Rub thoroughly to meat. Really get on it and cover the brisket all over, don't skimp on the rub, make sure you get both sides.
3. Refrigerate overnight.
4. Remove pan from the refrigerator and add your tomato sauce and BBQ sauce. Don't apply directly to the meat, just around it.
5. Chop up the sweet vidalia onions and scatter around the pan.
6. Seal completely with tinfoil.
7. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 4 1/2 hours.
8. Once the brisket is finished baking, remove and let sit for 20 minutes.
9. Remove brisket and put on your large platter or plate, leave the veggies and the sauce in the pan.
10. Add your favorite wine to the sauce, I prefer to use red wine for this process, and cook on a low heat for about 20 minutes. You will have to put the roasting pan across two burners on your oven. Stir occasionally.
11. Once the sauce is done, put it in a serving bowl. Cut your meat and make your sandwich. Apply the sauce or have it on the side for dipping, up to you.
