Brisket makes the best-tasting pot roast. Schatzie’s Brisket is 100% USDA PRIME meat and therefore has a much better flavor than the Brisket you buy at the supermarket.

Brisket comes from the side flap of the steer next to the flank. For the best results, Brisket should be cooked very slowly for approximately 4 to 5 hours in a moist, slow cooker.

Smoking is another cooking method, popular in the South. It includes rubbing the Brisket with a spice rub, leaving it overnight to marinate, then cooking it slowly over indirect heat from charcoal or wood.
